ASB13 is a member of the ASB protein family, characterised by ankyrin repeat domains and a SOCS box domain. It plays a key role in the regulation of protein degradation and signal transduction. As an E3 ubiquitin ligase, ASB13 facilitates the tagging and degradation of specific protein targets. Its SOCS box domain interacts with components of the ubiquitin-proteasome system, including E2 enzymes and Cullin-RING ligase complexes, to control targeted protein turnover.
