BRINP1

BRINP1, or BMP/retinoic acid-inducible neural-specific protein 1, is a member of the BRINP (BMP/retinoic acid-inducible neural-specific) family of proteins. It is predominantly expressed in the brain and has been implicated in various neuronal processes, including neurodevelopment, synaptic plasticity, and neuronal survival. One of the primary functions of BRINP1 is its involvement in neural development. It is induced by factors such as bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) and retinoic acid during early neural development, suggesting a role in patterning and differentiation of neural progenitor cells. BRINP1 expression is spatially and temporally regulated in the developing brain, suggesting its involvement in processes such as...
