BTBD7 (BTB Domain Containing 7) is a protein involved in regulating epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), a crucial process in embryonic development, tissue repair, and cancer metastasis. It helps control cell shape and movement by affecting the cell’s internal structure. Dysregulation of BTBD7 is linked to fibrosis and tumour progression, emphasising its role in tissue remodelling and its potential as a therapeutic target in fibrotic diseases and metastatic cancer.
