What does the test detect?

The test identifies antibodies that may indicate a current or recent infection:

• IgM antibodies may suggest an early or active infection.
• IgG antibodies may indicate a past or ongoing long-term infection.

Since the test line intensity can vary depending on the amount of antibodies in the sample, even faint color variations in the test line should be considered a positive result.
